SNP Cedar Waxwing

Happy Mid-Week!

When challenged with using a smaller stamp on a regular size card, I often find that creating multiples of the same image gives it the weight and impact needed. I  really like this Stamp N Plus Scrap N Waxwing image. I looked up some images on the internet to get the colouring as close to real life as I could and then stamped the image three times on white cardstock. All three were cut into 1 1/2" squares before they were coloured with Prismacolor pencils. Red Stickles were dotted over the berries and a small black half pearl was adhered over each eye.

The background paper comes from DCWV Safari Chic textured cardstock stack. It has that lovely ombre effect which suited this card so well. The brown band is cardstock run through my Cuttlebug using a Sizzix embossing folder and lightly sanded to expose the white core in spots. Faux stitching, three threaded buttons from my stash, and some letter stickers completed this card.

Thanks so much for visiting today. I love that you took the time to do that :)

Life is good; so is art.

Brilliant design Bonnie. You are so right about the impact of the image tripling. Love your colours too! Nicola x
